People of the World, Unite?

Shouts stick to every wall
in this concrete box.
Shuffling feet scuff the
dull tiles, littered with
abandoned paper,
As their heads are funnelled
with hunched shoulders
through marked alleys,
From tedious point to point,
Hurry up and wait,
We are told –
Hurry up. And wait.

Here, people of all lands gather,
Uniting in a single mass
before dissipating into the
far corners of the world.
Some come, some go,
But all are leaving
this place,
This place where
business begins,
pleasure ends,
lovers are united
and separated,
But all
have stories
to tell.

So, what do you think?
