United by Hate

Cheerless tongues lament their
darkness, spinning tales of
sadness below the freezing moon,

Iced hearts sealed in black
pump the slurry from slowed
organ to organ,

United on a bleak hilltop
dancing to the tune of hate,
Played on explosive fires

lighting the valleys below,
Plowed fields with tank tracks
and fed by blood,

Phantoms from Warsaw weep
in the deep corners,
Fresh scars cut into their

torn and tortured bodies,
Collapsed over their empty rifles,
Starved from their rising,

Silent amongst the voiceless dead
cut down by the howls
that fell again and again

and again.
