The Path to Heaven

Over fields of green and
grey concrete my lonesome feet
do tread by the rails,

Gently passing over the sorrows
I dropped from empty pockets
the last time my heart

was stolen, delicately,
With gloves of silk and fists
of hardened steel;

Drawn like a horse by the
blissful pain that reaches
through the bars to squeeze

as I breathe, breathe,
breathe –
Here I am again.

Here I am in the
Fire and the Smoke and the
Love and the Lust and the

Hands that reach to touch the
angelic skies above –
And here I am,

As I breathe,
