Crossing the Boundary

Beyond the horizon
my heart is sick.
I long to hold her
in my healing arms,
To kiss her
furrowed brow
as she frowns
at her discomfort.

Instead, I am stuck
beyond the horizon,
With only thoughts
reaching out to my love.
This pains me,
Being all alone
unable to stay and try,
Helpless or not.

I wrap my mind around
winds that blow here
to over there, hoping,
Willing it carry my thoughts.
My hope a sink
for her shivering worry.
My adoration a calm
between the sleep.

Beyond the horizon
my heart is sick.
I long to hold her
in my healing arms,
To kiss her
furrowed brow
as she frowns
at her discomfort.
