Changing Weather

I.

Behind the bright, burning
triangle; blinded eyes
with anxious moment.

Tock followed tick
above cheap, full fabric
waiting and waiting,

Stationary and shifting
to the terminal point,
Atop a buried heart.

II.

Between tired eyes and
thermostat turned high,
You fell to my arms
like unsettled leaves,
Delicate and calming
to the old sun,
Whose final smile
went unseen.

III.

In time the sullied ground
cleared with cool breeze,
Following the changing light
with reluctant glee.

New paths opened, ripe
for flowers and feet
longing to grow tall and
straight in beauty.

In time the sullied ground
cleared with cool breeze,
Lifting the spirit to a
bright, fresh plain.
