I Believe To My Soul

Halls of darkness
fill with rain winds’
strained echo,

Streams of gentle
smoke and harsh
frigid breath,

Blurring distant
blue, now
substanceless,

Reflected on
dark eyes, pale page,
Lost figures

crawling in corners,
Wretched creatures
for company

in deep damp,
Their fallen tears
of regret that

we should have kissed.

i believe to my soul
