Arching Gates

Between odd stone rows
rests a bench, in shade,
Where I sat and dreamed
with noone, nobody.

Passing trains departed
and took their noise,
From still of fallen leaves,
Trees that slowly reached.

Nothing remained, except
cold air and distance.
There I sat and dreamed,
Amid the lonely mile.
