Silence Comes

Silence comes now that
the air has cooled.
Colours have changed,
Following northern curve.

Winds settle in the shadows
of the lightened sky,
Lethargic and tired,
Hanging above heavy shuffle.

Slow days pass, with
erratic form, and sharp voice,
Hiding from the rage
promised by fading blue.

Hollow shade clings to
residual warmth as it
yearns for the sweet kiss
of a passing breeze.

Silence comes now that
the air has cooled,
And nervous creatures
wait for burning fire.

silence comes
