Silence’s Death

The summer breeze fell
with shards of steel.

The sun and the sky
ripped through walls
like a shock and a fire.

Dirt burns until
only scars remain,
silence’s death.

Desert rock and earth
hide everything;
everything is red.

Fires burn in the dark.
Only scars remain.

The summer breeze fell
with shards of steel.
